First- the magazine:
You can see the cover (a work in progress) of our new magazine under development here.
I’m looking for people who are in the prophetic/revival/prayer flow who would be interested in submitting articles, prophetic art, photography and other material.
You can see the prophetic word “Almost Homosexual” that this first edition will be centered on here.
I’d also like to highlight prophetic artists, share their work and their bio, etc.
Additionally, I’m looking for advertisers/sponsors. The magazine will be available online, and also in printed version… print on demand for now, possibly subscription based later.
Let me know if you have and thoughts or ideas. I’d love to hear them. I plan on having the first edition ready by July 1… but, it may end up being August 1, depending on how things pan out.
I’ll be working on a website for the magazine where people can submit content and learn more about the vision. It will be linked to our developing training center, theBurning : a prophetic school of revival… that site is www.theburningschool.com.
If you know of anybody who you feel would be a good fit, to submit their work, please forward this on!
Second- Biblical order:
1 Cor 14:40 is one of the most misunderstood scriptures in the Bible.
1 Corinthians 14:39-40 (NKJV) 39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Very often those who are uncomf
ortable with expression in a corporate setting will pull that scripture in an attempt to temper what’s going on. To control the atmosphere. Worse, most often people use it with an arrogant and judgmental attitude… they look at those who aren’t acting they way they think they should as ‘out of order’.
Is it possible that those who aren’t responding to the stirring of the Holy Spirit are the ones who are actually out of order?
That verse immediately follows verse 39: Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.
In context, it makes much more sense that a lack of a prophetic atmosphere, a lack of praying in tongues, is actually a service that’s out of order.
If we think that we can simply stand there and clap our hands and grin when the power of God burns in us, we don’t really understand God.
Consider this: What if lightening were to strike somebody. That person would react severely. Lightening is a created substance.
What if an angel visited someone in the night. That person would tremble and fall to their face. An angel is a created being.
If a created substance can cause us to manifest and a created being can cause us to manifest… what if the Creator were to touch us? Wow. We would react with such quaking and breaking with tears and groans that can’t be uttered!
This is very decent and very much in order.
THANK YOU!!! It actually pierces me when I hear that we have to make sure there is order in the service. Meanwhile expressive worship is kept in a box and fear leads the way! God deserves all our worship and we are called to worship with all our hearts, minds, soul and strength. Yet, some are afraid this kind of worship will be a distraction?!? YIKES!!! I am desperate for a breaking down of strongholds in this area. When will we understand that God's order doesn't look like what we call order! Oh God, come and have Your way!!!

Friends,
Exactly, as usual we take God's word and put it into our own level of understanding (because of ignorance) or totally and purposefully out of context to fit our own agendas'. I believe what our beloved friend Paul is saying in 1 Cor is this (my opinion) I believe chap 14 verse 37 is the key. The Apostle in the earlier verses is laying down an “order” for these gifts to be used if there going to be utilized to give proper glory to God and edification to the brethren, for remember “God is not an author of confusion.” But in verse 37 the Apostle recognizes he's dealing w/brethren who are “purposefully” choosing to be ignorant (which is the worse kind of ignorance, for its one thing not to know, but its another to know and willingly not receive) notice how he says, “If any man think himself to be a prophet or spiritual, acknowledge that I speak the commandments of the Lord” verse 38 “But if a man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.” Alas we get to verse(s) 39 and 40 the Apostle is saying “earnestly desire” to exercise these gifts, but in the proper order, and what is the proper order chap 12 verse 31 “earnestly desire the best gifts and YET I show you a more EXCELLENT way. It is LOVE that brings about “decency and order” for without it there is none or should I say were prophesying and speaking w/tongues which is a good thing, but yet you have no love for one another, and if its no love for one another, there cannot be for God. Once again I believe the Apostle is saying, if we get the LOVE down how much more powerful will the prophesying and tongues be or should I say the more understanding of the exercising of such gifts when the LOVE for God and others' come first. Thus is my understanding of 1 Cor chap 14 verses 39-40. Loving and blessing you all.
Dear Ones',
This word just came to me I believe from the Lord, many times we have good intentions, and the Lord understands that, but when those intentions no matter how good aren't exercised w/order the Lord must discipline or show us He is not pleased w/our assembly, remember its one thing to “sensitive” its another to be “emotional” for when we are lead by our emotions, we lose sensitivety. If we read 2 Sam King David is bringing the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem, (is not God pleased w/this, of course) is not David's heart in the right place, and is this not known of God, of course. But however we see several occurences, David is bringing the ark in on a cart drawn by oxen, hm isn't the ark to suppose to be carried by levite priest? we see that the cart hits a bump in the road so to speak, one of David's servant's recognizes the ark is about to fall, and stretches forth his hands to keep it from falling (no unconsercrated hands were to touch the ark no matter how good your intentions were) and servant is struck down and David is left momentarily dismayed and discouraged. Again was not David and his servant's hearts' in the right place of course, but order was not displayed and discipline/correction had to be rendered inspite of the good intentions. Notice inspite of David's good intentions God does and allows nothing outside of his WORD. Before this deed was there not instructions in how the ark is to be handled? just like with everything concerning the things of the Lord theres always proper instructions given, we are not to do what we want and how we want because when we do the consequences will be exposed. Here we see the consequences of David being led by his emotions instead of being sensitive, for had he been sensitive he would've sought the Lord in this matter and lets not forget the levite responsibility as well keepers of the law and they did nothing to instruct the King PROPERLY in what he was preparing to do. Thus Paul instructs us w/chap 14 of 1 Cor in how we are to act and let us not forget the Lord will never do anything outside of the bondaries of his WORD for he honors his WORD above his name. For remember God gave us emotions but when we MATURE those emotions get sensitized. Love you.
