As we are continuing to prepare for the coming revival in Detroit and in the cities of the Earth, it’s important to consider all of the obstacles, necessary focuses, practical issues and spiritual emphases.  Revival won’t simply break out because we are hungry. 

In fact, there’s every reason why revival WON’T launch, and if we’re not careful, the hope of a great outpouring will result in overwhelming disappointment.

Revival isn’t as much a sovereign move of God as it is an obedient move of man.

We have a part to play and a job to do.

Some of the concerns that we must understand are:

  • Time- have we made room on our daily calendars for the extreme requirement of time that revival will demand?
  • Money- Do we have several streams of income developed so the loss of one won’t threaten our involvement?
  • Conflict- Are we prepared to handle resistance and conflict that revival will bring to us individually?
  • Passion- Are we worn out and apathetic, or will our passion for Jesus drive us until it’s realized?
  • Judgment- Do we understand that God’s judgment, which is wrapped in his zealous love, will bring a great shaking to us and those around us?
  • Warfare- Do we understand the schemes of the enemy?

The enemy will do everything he can to disrupt, disable and delay our involvement.

There are countless issues to consider, and we can talk about them tonight, Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 at 7pm Eastern!
