Let’s get strategic : Live video : The complexities of revival

I recorded a podcast yesterday about the challenge and difficulties of a move toward revival.  It’s important that we don’t just get a little frustrated and a little zealous and ‘really, really want’ revival.  That won’t even get us pointed in the right direction, much less advancing toward an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

We have to be careful that we don’t oversimplify this or overcomplicate it.  We must be ‘revelation driven’, follow clear biblical protocol and pay a dear price.

What is God saying right now, in 2009?  What is his precise blueprint for your specific city or region?  What are the major spiritual strongholds?  What type of precision spiritual warfare must be initiated? 

For example, in Manitou Springs, Colorado, we’re in a lengthy season (many years) of information gathering, warfare and training.  The day will come when that key town at the base of Pikes Peak will be a prayer-fueled 24/7 mission base, a revival command center for the nations.  To get there we must hear God’s voice, surrender all and move in great unity.

I was sharing with some Detroit friends who were visiting the IHOP coffee shop today that I honestly know very little regarding my ministry in Michigan.  It’s a strange thing to move somewhere that I have no history in, and to load up a truck and drive without even having a house rented or bought!  We’ll arrive driving a big moving truck with one car being towed behind and the other driven by Amy… and then pray for the right place to live when we get there!

The reason?  We know little, but we do know God’s voice… and he said, “Move!”

To see revival, we’ll have to be keenly alert to God’s voice and move in perfect step with the Holy Spirit.  This is why I believe it’s deeply critical that we see ‘revelation driven’ houses of prayer and churches develop all around the world.  We must hear God!

Many enemies of fulfilled destiny await all of us.  Fear of man, or even possibly worse, an unhealthy reliance on man will attempt to drain our fervor.  A belief in fate will drain us of our urgency.  Generic dreams will drain us of our vision.
