Broadcasting now : An unholy strategy to bring holiness back to the church : Growing concern regarding use of gossip as tool in the church : hungry for revival : Todd Bentley : Rick Joyner

Gossip in the church.  It’s as old as the church, and has been extremely destructive for so many.  However, I’m more concerned and alerted than ever as many are forgoing biblical protocol and are actually intentionally embracing gossip as a tool.

In light of current failures of key leadership in the body, the hunger for holiness and integrity is increasing.  This is very good.  People want integrity in the church.  However, some are so frustrated that the desire to ‘take matters into their own hands’ has overwhelmed them and they are using the public forum to rip at people, expose them and make an example of them all for the sake of the greater body. 

This is shameful.  This is sinful.  We must trust God’s process.

The rising contentious spirit that’s all around must be dealt with.  We need God’s wisdom, not man’s wisdom. 

I discuss this in my book Covens in the Church.  After Jimmy Swaggart’s failure, the church was fed up.  Many embraced lawlessness as they determined to remove themselves from any submissive relationship with leaders.  The church was dealt a tragic blow.
