BLASPHEMY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

I’m not going to go into much detail in this post as we are discussing it live on video right now, but suffice it to say, I’m concerned.

The unpardonable sin is a serious issue that’s been misunderstood, and therefore, often ignored to many people’s tragic detriment.

There are a couple of scriptures that deal with different issues, but most often people tend to lump them together into one idea.  They are truly two different issues that each have serious consequences attached to them.

One of these is found in Hebrews 6:

Hebrews 6:4-6 (NIV) ⁴ It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, ⁵ who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, ⁶ if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

The second is found in Matthew 12:

Matthew 12:24-32 (NIV) ²⁴ But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." ²⁵ Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. ²⁶ If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? ²⁷ And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. ²⁸ But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. ²⁹ "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house. ³⁰ "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. ³¹ And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. ³² Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a totally different thing altogether. 

We’re in a day where unholy methods are being intentionally used to attempt to enforce holy, biblical mandates.  Gossip and slander are methods that many are embracing to renounce what many believe to be genuine moves of God because it doesn’t line up with their personal interpretation of scripture.
