I’ll just say it- I’m STUNNED. I don’t know if I’ve ever been this disoriented and shocked by the strange embrace that some Christians are giving Barack Obama. I don’t mean an embrace of love and respect (as that would be appropriate), I mean an embrace of approval as the leader of our nation. I’ve been surfing the net as most of you have, and I’m stumbling on Christian after Christian who is supporting Barack Obama. TD Jakes?! What!?
Have we not heard the countless prophetic words of warning regarding Mr. Obama? Do we not know that the spirit of Herod (the spirit that intentionally and methodically killed children) is a spirit of child sacrifice? By Obama’s own admission, the issue of morality regarding child sacrifice is ‘above his paygrade’. It’s too difficult for him to discern right vs. wrong.
Will Barack Obama bring financial stability, bring our soldiers home and enhance the health care system? Maybe. But, unless he also exalts Jesus and protects children and runs the spirit of Herod out of our nation, I don’t really care. I’d rather pay $10 a gallon for gas, go personally bankrupt and work 80 hours a week just to make ends meet if we can save lives.
Some would say that the republicans haven’t overturned Roe vs. Wade. True. However, it’s all about authority and alliance. If our authorities have an alliance with the unholy this opens the door for extreme tragedy on our soil. Regardless of whether we see abortion abolished or not, we must governmentally stand
prophetically for God, for life.
Regarding Barack Obama’s faith, this comes from his website:
“Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ. His Kenyan paternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather were Muslim, but he attended secular and Catholic schools and was never a practicing Muslim.”
Investigate the United Church of Christ at www.ucc.org. A UCC pastor I know refused to join a prayer meeting/ministerial alliance with other churches in the area because he didn’t want to offend his Muslim and pagan brethren!
Though we must love and serve with tears in our eyes all people including Muslims, athiests, homosexuals, pagans, etc., we can’t believe that they are also our brethren. We must not be unequally yoked. There is a heaven and a hell, there is only one way to life and that is through the Messiah Jesus the Christ. These people need our love and witness, not our stamp of approval on their belief system.
To vote for someone that is advancing some of the most vile and barbaric acts mankind can commit simply is nonsensical.
I appreciate a message I heard at the International House of Prayer recently on John 6. To sum it up, the people were looking for more bread from Jesus. Jesus rebuked them for seeking bread and not simply seeking Jesus himself. The big idea? The socialist movement is preparing the poor to welcome the anti-christ with open arms.
The leader that will give us what we want, what enhances our life, who has the charisma and the passion… is the leader that will be quite popular. I pray we see the Esther mantle that is on Sarah Palin. I pray we see the pro-life (the only trump card in this election) stance that John McCain is taking.
As always, let me know what you think.
