capture-00001-8-15-2008 Many of you know that a Broadway production company called The Civilians is currently touring the nation and putting on a musical docudrama on the church/social reality in Colorado Springs… and Revolution House of Prayer plays a huge role in the play.  It’s called “This Beautiful City”.  There are people playing me and other RHOPpers preaching, prophesying and singing… strange but true!  Here’s a shot of the video with the guy who’s playing me as I’m preaching and prophesying at a Mission Manitou event at RHOP.  If you watch the trailer, you will here them sing, “Revolution House of Prayer.”  See the video here.

capture-00000-11-22-2008Go here and read about the production and listen to some RHOP inspired original music including Angels and Demons.  That song was written after a session at RHOP that they were visiting.  They sing about “my son seeing a demon in the middle of the night…” that’s about my son Skylar and his night terrors… and our spiritual warfare in that season!  They wrote the song directly from notes they took during the session… word for word.  Listen to the song here!

The other photo is their interpretation of our Mission Manitou “Prayer in the Cave” event.

Equally strange and wonderful is an upcoming comic book. You may have heard of The Zealot… and I just received word that he’s moving to the next phase of the drawing board!  You can see the working design of The Zealot on the right.   Here’s the info from the creator Brett Baker:

capture-00001-11-22-2008I put up a little background info on the Mission Manitou cartoon idea.

“I made some changes to the backstory, like moving Manitou Springs to Massachusetts and renaming it Manitou Cove, but don’t worry, the Manitou will still be a prominent villain (he’s too evil-looking not to be…. great big teeth!). No pics yet, as I haven’t had much time to draw, but I’ll be doing a slight redesign of the character, so be prepared for Zealot to have lots of muscles. :) Once I have something to display, I’ll have Mission Manitou rotate in and out on the homepage.”
