capture-00006-8-7-2008 I just finished a quick podcast on my reaction to the election.  I address issues such as:

How to vote and what it means to align ourselves with a leader
    The responsibility of the church
The missed opportunity to have Sarah Palin in leadership
    The underground Church
Prayer for Barack Obama to be filled with the life and love of Jesus
Why we as Believers simply cannot ever vote for a pro-choice candidate
How there is no comparison between the loss of life in the war and the loss of life via abortion

As always, let me know what you think.  Of course, these are one man’s opinions.  Someone said that God’s not a republican or a democrat.  That’s true, but it’s also an insufficient analysis.  At this stage of history the Democratic party is aggressively embracing and advancing some immoral and unbiblical positions that cannot be overlooked or aligned with.  As I’ve said before, the abortion issue is a trump card.  Pro-choice = no vote.

We actually may find it necessary in upcoming elections to withhold our vote entirely if we don’t have a candidate we can align with.

By no means, however, should we lose love or kindness toward those in leadership with whom we disagree.  We must love and serve and honor those in authority.  This, more than anything, is a church issue.  So, let’s pray like never before for holiness, revival and humility to land in our churches and personal lives.

I know I’m searching my own heart on these issues right now.  Won’t you do the same.

Here’s the podcast:
