First, if you are subscribed to the RSS feed of the blog, you’ll need to make a change. We moved from Typepad to WordPress, and the new feed is officially found at www.r180.com/blog. The same feed, for everybody’s convenience, can also be seen right on the front page at www.r180.com.
Now, it seems as if a chord has been struck with the post on Square Pegs. Let me encourage you to use the blog (the post that you see in your email inbox can also be seen at www.r180.com) and to post comments.
Those of you who have followed the ministry know that a passion of my heart is to promote healthy relationships with authorities in our lives. It’s important and appropriate to support the leaders God has given to us.
Additionally, a passion of my heart is to help promote a greater embrace of those who are gifted and called by God to surge ahead outside of the box of the typical Western church mindset. It’s the John the Baptists and Gideons who are crying out, turning over pagan altars and defying the status quo that will help turn the tide of Christian advance.
How do we handle this seeming conflict of pressing ahead in the arena of submission to our authorities? Well, there is much more to discuss than can be dealt with here, but suffice it to say that God is very good at what he does. As we humbly submit, even in the most trying of situations, even to those whom we have disagreements with, God will honor that. God will enable us to run with the appropriate amount of freedom and the appropriate amount of restraint at the appropriate time.
Again, we will see those with strong apostolic callings press ahead as leaders. Prophets will again relay God’s message to the church and the nations. Pastors will not have to be the point person if that isn’t their calling. Teachers will teach the piercing message of Heaven. Evangelists will burn with the fire of the Holy Spirits as they move back and forth day after day from the prayer room to the streets.
I hope to see many of you in Pueblo, Colorado on Friday, Dec 7th and also in Manitou Springs, Colorado at Revolution House of Prayer (www.rhop.com) on Saturday, Dec 8th. I’ll be ministering in both places. The exact Pueblo location will be given shortly!
Be wildly blessed!

100% Effective Prayer
“John Burton’s book on prayer hits the mark. It is the type of book that you can read and reread and be encouraged anew each time in your prayer walk with our Lord. We have to hear from God in a myriad of areas of our lives. That happens as we spend time with our Lord in prayer. Be Blessed and share this book with others that we all might have a deeper revelation of what our obedience will accomplish for the kingdom and for ourselves.”- Barbara Parmelee
